For students ages 9-19, Open to all dancers throughout Memphis and beyond.
Previous experience and audition required for ages 11 -19.
Intensives include a full week of all day training for one to three weeks and culminate in performances for levels 5-7.

June 3 - 21 Summer Intensive with Movement Migration
Dancers from all over the Mid-South are invited to audition for the New Ballet Summer Intensive led by international guest artists!
An exciting and rigorous three-week training program designed for experienced dancers, ages 15–19. Students accepted into the program will have the rare opportunity to study with renowned professional dancers, formerly with Boston Ballet, Cleveland San Jose Ballet, Limon Company, Martha Graham, and Pittsburgh Ballet. The intensive will culminate in a performance at Crosstown Theatre on Friday, June 21.
$800 for all three weeks. Limited, need-based scholarships are available to those who qualify. Sponsored by the Hohenberg Foundation Visiting Artists grant. Free for New Ballet registered students.

Summer Intensive Schedule Overview:
Ballet, pointe, partnering and choreography with San Francisco based guest master teacher, Kaori Ogasawara, former soloist with Pittsburgh Ballet Theater. Body rolling sessions with Kathleen Hall.
Ballet, pointe and variations with guest master teacher, Lisa Ballo, former principal dancer from the Cleveland San Jose Ballet. Classes in contemporary with New Ballet staff teachers and body rolling with Kathleen Hall.

Dancers not-yet-registered with New Ballet are accepted into this summer intensive program by audition only. Students are required to have at least six years dance experience, with at least three years on pointe.

Level 5 | ages 11-14 | 10am-5pm
June 3-14, with an in-studio performance at New Ballet on June 14, 4pm
More experienced dancers will receive rigorous training in this two-week intensive. Dancers will study ballet, pre-pointe, contemporary dance, hip hop, and West African dance. There will be a studio performance for friends and family on the final day of classes.
Dancers not-yet-registered with New Ballet are accepted into this summer intensive program by audition only. This free audition will take place on Saturday, May 11 at 11:15 am. Students are required to have at least four years of dance experience.
$500, two weeks required / Free for New Ballet registered students.
Level 4 | ages 9-12 | 9am-3pm
Young dancers are offered the opportunity to refine their skills in ballet, modern, Spanish dance and jazz. Pointe work is not included at this level. Please see Level 5 if the student has begun pointe work. No audition required.
$300 / Free for New Ballet registered students.
