After the performance, the children returned to school full of wonderful stories, new dance movements, and ideas for their own plays, ballets, and puppet shows. The teachers extended the story into their classroom curriculums and the children have benefited enormously from the experience.

New Ballet Ensemble and School was selected by NBC’s “Today” as one of five recipients of its ninth-annual “Lend a Hand Today” series. On June 24, Al Roker broadcast live from Midtown Memphis, unveiling donations for the non-profit school from several generous companies and donors. New Ballet is sharing items with local non-profits working with children and families.
