LeAnthony Douglas (Teaching and Performing Artist, Boy's Technique, Beginning Fundamentals, SCS Pathways)
LeAnthony Douglas teaches Ballet Fundamentals and Boys Technique at New Ballet, and teaches at our satellite programs in Dunbar and Peabody Elementary. Born and raised in Orange Mound, Memphis, TN, LeAnthony has been involved with NBE since 2008. He began his dance training in 3rd grade at Dunbar Elementary through New Ballet’s residency program. After graduating from Melrose High School in 2017, he began working as a Teaching and Performing Artist at NBE.
LeAnthony is skilled in Ballet, Hip Hop, Memphis Jookin, Modern, Contemporary, West African Dance and Drumming, and Flamenco. LeAnthony has attended summer intensives at the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts (2016), Orsolina 28 (2018), and Alvin Ailey (2019), and has performed at the Kennedy Center, the Canon Center, Alvin Ailey, and more!
