Kathy Caradine (Costume Manager and Teaching Artist, Tap Dance and Musical Theater)
In addition to being our Costume Manager, Kathy Caradine teaches Tap and Creative Movement at New Ballet. Kathy has been a fixture in Memphis dance and theater for over 30 years as a teacher and choreographer. A graduate of the University of Memphis, she has trained in Cecchetti, RAD, and Russian ballet techniques, and studied tap, jazz and musical theater dance with Patricia Williams.
She began her professional career in 1980 and has choreographed scores of shows at theatres in the Mid-South, including Playhouse on the Square and Desoto Family Theater. In 24 seasons at Theatre Memphis she’s choreographed more than 35 productions and is a multiple winner of Ostrander Awards for her choreography. She frequently travels to master classes and actively pursues professional development opportunities to improve her teaching abilities. Kathy’s also our Costume Manager!
