"Peter and the Wolf" Camp

Our most popular early childhood camp! Children bring Prokofiev’s classic symphonic fairy tale to life, learning dances for the characters in the story and creating their own props during daily craft time. Materials are provided. Students will need to bring a refillable water bottle to camp. The camp concludes with a performance for family and friends!

"Anansi and the Sky God" Camp
Ages 6-11
July 12-16 | 10:00am-1:00pm
Location: 2157 York Ave, Memphis, TN 38104 – Green and Red Studios
Description: This camp is based on the book “Anansi Does the Impossible,” a story about a hornet, a spider, a python, fairies, and the Sky God. Dance genres include African dance and drumming, modern dance, Spanish dance with fans, ballet and hip hop. Characters from this fable come to life as representatives for each dance style learned during the camp. Crafts designed around the story will be a part of the daily activities for the campers. Materials provided. Students will need to bring a snack and a refillable water bottle from home. The camp concludes with a performance for family and friends!

Musical Theatre Camp
Ages 6-11

Description: Campers explore the world of musical theatre focusing on theatrical dance, music vocalizations and acting, through learning excerpts of famous musicals. Musical theatre camp is for performers of all experience levels. Students will need to bring a snack and a refillable water bottle from home. The camp concludes with a performance for family and friends!

Peace, Love, and Hip Hop Camp
Ages 6-11
July 19-23 | 10:00am-1:00pm

Description: Campers are introduced to modern and hip-hop dance techniques and choreography. During daily crafts time, students make peace and love themed items to enjoy all summer long! Materials are provided. No prior dance or art experience is necessary. Students will need to bring a snack and a refillable water bottle from home. The camp concludes with a performance for family and friends!

Versatile Dance Camp
Ages 6-11
July 19-23 | 1:30-4:30pm

Description: Campers explore modern dance, musical theatre styles, and dances from other cultures. Each dance style presented will be done so in a fun and engaging way and paired with opportunities to watch New Ballet performances during snack breaks. Students will need to bring a snack and a refillable water bottle from home. The camp concludes with a performance for family and friends!
