November 20 and 21 at the Cannon Center
Set on Beale Street, NutRemix is a modern reinvention of Tchaikovsky’s classic Nutcracker that features a stunning array of music and dance styles - from Ballet to Breakdancing and Flamenco to Memphis Jookin! Experience this uniquely Memphis production, in which Charles “Lil Buck” Riley created the “The Memphis Angel” and that the NY TImes singled out as "joyous"!
Nearly 200 student dancers bring this performance to life alongside experienced professionals and accompanied by the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Big Band, Flamenco musicians, and African Drummers! It’s a magical world of movement and music that you’ll never forget!
NutRemix has received critical acclaim by The New York Times and was chosen by critic Alastair Macaulay as one of the three most innovative “Nutcrackers” in America on ABC's Good Morning America! Nut Remix is also currently featured in Netflix’s docu-series MOVE (season 1, episode 1), which highlights Lil Buck and Jon Boogz. Unless you’ve seen Nut Remix, you’ve never seen a show like this!
