The goal of New Ballet Ensemble and School is to ensure equal access to ballet is given to all children regardless of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.

Today, 40% of the students taking weekly classes at New Ballet studios are on scholarship. Scholarships are made possible through monetary contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations.

New Ballet scholarship students are incorporated into the core curriculum and perform in mainstage productions. ALL students at New Ballet are given equal opportunities to learn and perform.

New Ballet incorporates bridge-building exercises into the school curriculum in an effort to facilitate positive cross-cultural learning experiences for the students.

Children must qualify for free or reduced lunch to qualify for a New Ballet scholarship and must attend a scheduled audition with Ms. Smythe.

Please contact New Ballet at 901.726.9225 for more information.

New Ballet is a non-profit organization that has a fund raising arm, funding both Program, Scholarships and Performances. Contributions are received from individuals, foundations and corporations and designated to the scholarship fund. New Ballet makes every attempt to fund scholarship requests to deserving students but often has a waiting list of applicants. Tuition dollars do not fund scholarships.

If you are interested in contributing to the scholarship fund, please contact Carrie Pohlman Vaughan, 90.726.9225 ext 224 or email carrie@newballet.org
