Rudi Peyton (Company Member, Choreographer and Teaching Artist, Hip Hop)
Rudi Peyton is one of the first members of the New Ballet Ensemble Trainee Program. He moved to Memphis from Rockford, IL as a teen and graduated from Byhalia High School in MS, was a member of Memphis Hip Hop for two years, and was named Mr. Hip Hop on ESPN in 2005.
He debuted with New Ballet as Paris in Romeo and Juliet and has been featured in works by Uri Sands and Francesca Harper.
He is Assistant to the Choreographer of the Memphis Grizzlies ans recently choreogaphed on the Chicago Bulls dance team. Memphis school children recognize Rudi as “the Grandfather” in Peter and the Wolf.
