Noelia Garcia Carmona (Flamenco adn Creative Movement)

Barcelona-native Noelia Garcia Carmona graduated from Institut del Theatre i Dansa de Barcelona and the Department of Spanish Dance. She is an expert in executing and teaching the complex and challenging rhythms that are the foundation of Spanish Dance. Noelia’s Creative Movement classes for young children introduce modern concepts, movements to a strong base of Spanish Dance and ballet training. She believes that contemporary dance can enhance Spanish Dance without destroying the most important tenets of its traditions. Noelia is a Flamenco and Contemporary dancer, choreographer and teacher. She is Catalan having lived and worked in Barcelona and Madrid (Spain), and has performed throughout Europe, in China, Israel and the Philippines. Noelia is a founding member of Increpacion Danza.

Ms. Garcia Carmona has choreographed a number of works on New Ballet Ensemble including Yendo (sponsored by ArtsMemphis and the ABC grant).
