New Arts360 Arts Integrated Schools In West TN

The TN Arts Commission's new Arts360 Arts Integration grant program will
support two Shelby County elementary schools in integrating arts into the curriculum. Bartlett Elementary
and Sherwood Elementary will begin three-year pilot programs starting with the 2016-2017 academic year.

Bartlett Elementary will establish their BEST ARTS program in partnership with New Ballet Ensemble & School, and
both students and teachers will work with teaching artists in the classroom setting.
"Katie Smythe and her NBE staff understand the value of offering arts experiences to all children,” says Brad Foust, Bartlett Elementary’s Instructional Facilitator and Arts360 Coordinator. "Our goal is to build Bartlett Elementary into a model arts integration school, and NBE’s collective expertise and passion for the arts and for young people will be at the center of our efforts.”
