New Ballet is a Community Arts Education Program that reaches children from diverse backgrounds where the common ground is dance. Programs include: 

  • a school that trains children at the professional level;
  • a professional company of dancers that serve as teaching artists in the New Ballet School, as well as perform in our local schools and in main stage productions;
  • outreach programs that include performances and workshops in Title I Memphis City and Shelby County Schools, as well as teaching residencies at local schools and organizations;
  • a scholarship program that ensures equal access to dance is provided to all youth who have the desire to train with professional standards.
