Kathryn Coley Webster instructs the Ballet 5 level in the NBE Core Program and has been professionally involved at NBE since 2002 as a performer and Teaching Artist.

Her training began with Memphis Concert Ballet under the direction of Dorothy Gunther Pugh. After high school she joined Ballet Memphis as an apprentice. Her summers were spent training with Joffrey Ballet, Steps and Broadway Dance Center in New York, Ballet Met in Ohio, and the Gotland International Dance Seminar in Gotland, Sweden. After a year-long apprenticeship, "Coley" put her dance career on hold and went back to school to receive a degree in Event Planning and Management. During this time, she appeared in local theater performances at Theater Memphis including Little Shop of Horrors, The Moon is Blue, Annie, Moon Over Buffalo, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. She also appeared on television shows such as Charmed, Scrubs and Grounded for Life.

As a company member at New Ballet Ensemble, Ms. Webster has performed Principle roles in Esmerelda, Haydn String Quartet, Andrew Allagree's Fragments of Belonging, and both the Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy in Nut ReMix. She also appeared in Forsythe Take One under the direction of Elizabeth Corbett and Uri Sands' Work in Progress.

In addition to her work as a performer and teacher, "Coley" has directed and collaborated on the Act One of Nut ReMix and is Assistant to the Director, teaching classes and rehearsing the company. She is frequently found designing costumes and conceptulaizing alongside the Director.

She is certified in the 1st and 2nd years of the Vaganova Pedagogue.

Coley is known as the spokeswoman for Royal Furniture!
