Community and School Performances
Focusing equally on diversity and excellence, New Ballet develops relationships with community organizations, local schools, and corporations bringing instruction and live performances to children and adults across Memphis and the Mid-South. Last season, New Ballet reached over 20,000 Mid-Southerners through performances. School performances include curricula and lesson plans that teachers may use before and after the performance and workshop.

School Performances:  Peter and the Wolf  is best suited for grades K – 3. The Three Shoes and Bare Feet is designed for either Elementary or Middle school students. New Ballet brings dance students and professionals into the community to perform for students in after school programs and organizations. Here, students from New Ballet School warm up before an audience at Girls Inc., demonstrating the progression of the barre before the performance begins. Young audiences are invited to participate during the program. Experiential learning is a critical component of the New Ballet program.
