Student Ambassador Program

Become a Student Ambassador!

Student Ambassadors will be a diverse group of students, with unique stories, who are prepared to express their journey as young dancers and the impact New Ballet Ensemble and School has had on them. We are looking for a group of 8 - 12 students to serve in the role for 1 year. To be eligible, students must be at least 12 years old or in Level 5 or above.

Student Ambassadors will work directly with NBE Marketing and Development departments to ensure that NBE is utilizing youth voice in all of its marketing and development initiatives.

Student Ambassador responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating the mission of NBE and sharing their experiences in the arts

  • Serving as encouraging role models and advocates for youth arts training

  • Leading group or individualized tours of NBE

  • Staffing information tables at local community events

  • Representing NBE by serving on panels

  • Assisting with donor and exposure events 

Student Ambassadors must commit to meeting once a month in addition to engaging in the above-mentioned opportunities. Ambassadors will be trained in public speaking and will learn more about the depths of New Ballet’s mission in order to communicate with internal and external audiences.

How to Apply:

Complete the online application by Sunday, September 8th. You will then be notified if you make it to the next round by Monday, September 9th. Students who are selected in the first round must commit to working a 1-hour shift at NBE's Cooper-Young Festival booth on Saturday, September 14th between 9 am-7 pm. 

After the initial application process, selected students will participate in a 20-minute interview with NBE staff members between September 10-18. The date and time of the interview will be set at a time that works best for the student.

The 2019 - 2020 Student Ambassadors will be selected by Saturday, September 21st
