Alexis Jackson is the Director of Creative Youth Development at New Ballet Ensemble and School. Alexis is a graduate of Rhodes College with a BA in Political Science and Classical Studies. She first worked with NBE as the Rhodes College Fellow in the 2014-15 academic year, continuing as an intern in the summer of 2015. After a year of serving as a Chapter Development Consultant for Delta Delta Delta Fraternity, she returned to NBE as the Volunteer and Mentoring Program Manager, primarily focusing on expanding NBE's Align Mentoring program in collaboration with the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation. Now, serving as Director of Creative Youth Development, she hopes to expand and build NBE's holistic education and evaluation, mentoring programs, and student leadership programs.

Alexis was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she trained for 15 years in classical ballet, jazz, modern and tap, and was a pre-professional company member of Louisiana Dance Theatre. She chose to pursue academic interests with the goal of a career in social responsibility and non-profit administration. NBE looks forward to her contributions to its growth in the Memphis community and beyond!
